Artificial light at night appears to be harmful for breast cancer

June 2025 – In a study conducted among women in the E3N-Générations cohort, we investigated the links between exposure to artificial light at night and breast cancer. After adjusting for known risk factors, the risk of developing breast cancer increased with the level of light pollution at night around the women's place of residence.
