Fabrice Jollant, MD, PhD, is professor of psychiatry at the University of Paris, France. He is also adjunct professor at the Department of psychiatry at McGill University, Montreal, Canada; and a researcher at CHU Nîmes, France. In April 2021, he joined the Universitäts Klinikum Jena in Germany for some months as a researcher. He is a member of the National Observatory on Suicide (France), IASR, IASP, GEPS (France), and EPA; Director of a continuing education program in suicidology. He published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles on the topic. His research encompasses : 1) the neurocognitive bases of suicidal behavior; 2) the analysis of administrative databases in relation to suicide; 3) the pharmacological treatment of the suicidal crisis; 4) innovative approaches in teaching suicide risk recognition and intervention; 5) clinical aspects of the suicidal crisis (including mental pain); 6) suicide among the Palawan indigenous group in the Philippines.
